HLN is a leading consultant to NHIN/RHIO projects, with special emphasis on ensuring public health's role in these emerging phenomena.

HLN submitted a distinguished response to the January 2005 HHS ONCHIT RFI focused on models for RHIO implementation.

Through our work with the Public Health Data Standards Consortium (PHDSC), HITSP, HL7, and HIMSS HLN advocates for public health's interests and participation in health information exchange.

HLN played a substantial role in the development of the Vermont Health Information Technology Plan.

HLN developed a Web File Repository (WFR) to provide a secure, HIPAA-compliant vehicle for manual and automated file upload over the Internet. HLN staff members are active on various HL7 technical committees, projects, and special interest groups ensuring that public health's interests and concerns are well represented.
