HLN has been at the forefront of the development of integrated child health systems. Whether conceptual, architectural, or technical, HLN has worked with leading public health agencies to bring together child health information that is functional and interoperable to support program objectives.

HLN has developed and implemented various de-duplication and match/merge tools - some built cost-effectively upon Open Source tools such as FEBRL - that enable records to be more accurately absorbed into a shared database.

HLN is involved with several Public Health Information Network (PHIN) planning and implementation projects and plays an active and leading role in the activities, analysis and presentation of the Public Health Informatics Institute's (PHII) Unique Records Workgroup.
