Since its inception, HLN has directed its health information technology efforts in the design, development and use of Specialized Healthcare Applications in core areas of public health, including integrated child health systems, immunization information systems, bio-terrorism and emergency response, and health information and exchange planning.

HLN provides in-depth subject matter expertise and leverages its affiliations to contribute to the conceptualization of emerging issues and to produce high-quality technology solutions. Through our project work, our participation in national committees and our writing, HLN is well positioned to support the strategic plan of a Nationwide Health Information Network (NHIN).
