Many community maternal and child health agencies need to look at a variety of funding sources including government programs, managed care contracts, health delivery systems, and private foundation grants to support and expand their service delivery in a rapidly changing health care environment. Most agency data systems cannot support the diverse and dynamic requirements for data to obtain grants, manage programs, generate claims for different types of managed care contracts and produce a variety of report types to funders and support research
Maternity Care Coalition strategically deployed technology and staff to develop their Interactive Data system, Changing Tablessm, which was designed for case management and reporting.
This presentation will demonstrate the process MCC staff used to learn how to use their system for continuous quality assurance and to understand the relationship between service delivery components to the production of HMO claims and reports to a variety of funders, and to demonstrate both the challenges and benefits of this approach.
