HLN is one of the pre-eminent immunization information system services vendors in the country, specializing in project evaluation and continuing development of custom systems.  We have a long history of providing software development and technical support services to immunization information systems. HLN has been continuously supporting the New York City Citywide Immunization Registry (CIR) since 1998 and continuously supporting the Rhode Island immunization registry and integrated child health system (KIDSNET) since 2002. These are both very mature and robust immunization registries that frequently present their state-of-the-art capabilities and achievements at the National Immunization Conference. In addition, from 2001 to 2005, HLN provided immunization information system (IIS) support to multiple jurisdictions in California that were all using the California Automated Immunization Registry (CAIR) IIS. HLN also provided immunization registry services to Philadelphia, which used a heavily modified version of the CAIR IIS. As a result, HLN has deep experience in most IIS knowledge areas. Listed below are just a few of those areas:

  • Adverse Events
  • Anti-Viral Tracking
  • Coverage Reports
  • Vaccine Ordering
  • Inventory Management
  • Reminder/Recall
  • Up-to-date Reports
  • Electronic Medical Records for Immunization Clinics
  • Immunization Evaluation and Recommendation
  • Immunization Matching and De-duplication
  • Patient Matching and De-duplication
  • Pandemic Rapid Data Entry and Reporting
  • Real-Time Bi-Directional Data Exchange with EMR Systems
  • Integration with other public health systems

HLN also has a long history of researching, evaluating, and recommending IIS strategies on behalf of state, county, and municipal public agencies. Over the years, HLN has conducted major IIS strategic evaluations for California, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Philadelphia, Kentucky, and Washington. Our experience includes all phases of the lifecycle of IIS project support, from design and development, to operations and support, including network design and monitoring, database administration, re-hosting design and implementation, and integration with other public health systems. We have provided planning, training, operational support for projects in Delaware and Oklahoma, and we continue to work with CDC to support their IIS grantees through our GSA IDIQ/BPA.
