On September 2, 2025, HLN released a new version of the Immunization Calculation Engine (ICE) software. The latest release, v2.48.1, brings important updates to ICE vaccine evaluation and forecasting, with a focus on influenza and RSV.
ICE is a state-of-the-art open source software system that provides clinical decision support for immunizations for use in Immunization Information Systems (IIS), Electronic Health Record (EHR), and Personal Health Record (PHR) systems.
What’s New in ICE 2.48.1?
- Added support for CVX 333, Self/caregiver-administered influenza vaccine.
- Added support for CVX 331, Influenza Southern Hemisphere trivalent vaccine.
RSV:
- Added support for CVX 332, a new monoclonal antibody product for infants (clesrovimab).
- Lowered the age threshold for the Conditional risk-based recommendation for adult RSV from 60 years to 50 years.
Implementation Guide Updates:
- The ICE Implementation Guide Codes sheet has been updated to reflect the new influenza and RSV codes, along with updated descriptive text for RSV recommendations.

Looking Ahead
The new CVX codes will be available soon in the ICE Client application. Additionally, the next release will include updates to COVID-19 recommendations for the 2025–2026 respiratory season.
