We’re excited to share that Aasa has been selected as a 2026 Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association (FAMIA). This honor reflects years of hands-on work strengthening public health systems and advancing applied informatics where it matters most.
As Noam Arzt, President of HLN Consulting, put it: “Aasa is one of the leading public health informatics experts in the country today. This represents not only a career of hard work, but well-deserved recognition of Aasa’s commitment to AMIA and her field.”
Her approach has always centered on practical impact—helping programs use data more effectively, improving workflows, and supporting teams that rely on strong informatics foundations. That grounding in real-world problem-solving is exactly what FAMIA looks for.
In her words: “I am honored to join this community of professionals. I am deeply appreciative for this recognition and committed to continue my work with AMIA in applying my informatics skills towards improving public health”
Aasa will be formally inducted into the Fellowship of AMIA on May 20, 2026, during the Amplify Informatics Conference in Denver. We’re proud to see her contributions recognized and look forward to what she continues to build for the field.
