HLN Senior Project Manager Mike Berry has been elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Immunization Registry Association (AIRA) for the 2023-2025 term. We extend our warmest congratulations to him on this achievement.
Noam Arzt, HLN’s president, said, “We are thrilled that Mike has been selected to serve on the AIRA board. He has spent more than twenty years dedicated to immunization information systems and represents one of the community’s best resources.”
Mike eagerly anticipates his tenure on the AIRA board, looking forward to contributing to the advancement of its mission. With his extensive expertise and dedication to immunization information systems, Mike is poised to make a significant impact and drive positive change during his service.
AIRA, a membership organization dedicated to the development and implementation of immunization information systems (IIS), plays a crucial role in preventing and controlling vaccine-preventable diseases. By fostering voluntary and collaborative interaction among its members, AIRA creates a platform for combined efforts, knowledge sharing, and promotion of activities that advance IIS and immunization programs.
As a strong advocate for standards, policy, and funding, AIRA serves as a valuable resource for data exchange standards development, information sharing, and education/training for IIS managers and staff. Comprising predominantly IIS staff from health departments, along with other organizations and individuals interested in IIS, AIRA currently boasts more than 113 organization members, representing over 900 individuals. It is widely acknowledged by its members as the central hub for IIS development, standardization, and best practices.
At the forefront of AIRA’s operations is its active Board of Directors, working closely with Executive Director Rebecca Coyle, the Senior Management Team, and the rest of the staff. AIRA’s commitment to promoting IIS development and implementation is reinforced through its membership organization and collaborative approach. With the addition of Mike Berry to the Board of Directors, AIRA gains an invaluable asset in advancing its goals and supporting the broader immunization community.
