HLN Compiles Training Resources for Workforce Acceleration Initiative Placements

HLN collaborated with the CDC Foundation to compile and develop public health informatics training resources to support the transition of placements of IT and data experts in state, tribal, local, and territorial (STLT) health agencies across the country to support the Workforce Acceleration Initiative (WAI). WAI aims to accelerate data system modernization and data utilization to support public health action.

Planning for the Future of IIS in 2025 and Beyond

We are at an interesting crossroads for Immunization Information Systems (IIS). Several jurisdictions have recently started to replace their IIS with different products and pursue a variety of strategies, with several others waiting in the wings to see how these projects fare. Several differing strategies have emerged. Here are some key attributes that are important for any IIS moving forward to ensure sustainability.
