HLN was a proud co-sponsor of the HIMSS24 Public Health Data Modernization Pre-conference Workshop. Held in Orlando in March, this conference was attended by more than 35,000 from around the world and centered around a trade show exhibit hall, interoperability showcases, and educational sessions. HLN supports IIS implementations in New York City (CIR) and Rhode Island (KIDSNET/RICAIR). As we began testing connections to other IIS, we wondered whether IIS-IIS HL7 data exchange might yield similar issues as noted with existing EHR to IIS reporting. Testing of IIS-IIS pairings has highlighted several variances in platform configuration, business rules and policies – some that existed and some that did not.
